Cikgu Aida’s Claim About Noah’s Ark in Malaysia Sparks Debate ????
A podcast clip featuring a teacher named Cikgu Aida has gone viral on TikTok after she expressed her view that Noah’s Ark is located in the Malay land (Malaysia), specifically on a mountain within the country. The statement quickly drew widespread attention online, with some viewers expressing curiosity while others questioned the historical and scientific basis of the claim.
The discussion gained momentum because, in widely known religious literature and historical interpretations, the resting place of Noah’s Ark is commonly associated with the region around Mount Ararat in modern-day Turkey, as referenced in various religious commentaries and popular archaeological discussions.
This viral moment highlights how statements shared on social media can spark cross-disciplinary conversations involving religion, history, and science, and reminds audiences of the importance of checking sources before accepting a claim as factual.
To date, there is no archaeological, historical, or scientific evidence supporting the claim that Noah’s Ark is located in Malaysia. In Islamic, Christian, and Jewish traditions, the most frequently referenced location is the area surrounding Mount Ararat in Turkey.
Researchers and historians have never identified Southeast Asia as a possible site connected to this narrative. Therefore, this statement is better understood as a personal opinion or speculation, rather than a historically verified fact.
While such discussions can be interesting and thought-provoking, it is important to distinguish between belief, opinion, and evidence-based historical research.
