[Asian Games] Poomsae Gold Medalist with Spectacular Demonstration... Cha Ye-eun's "Life Turn Around"

“Now it can be said that he is a player in good form”… Overcame cruciate ligament injury to reach the top of Asia

Hangzhou Asian Games gold medalist Cha Ye-eun (Kyung Hee University) is a member of the Taekwondo demonstration team.

The demonstration team aims to ‘show Taekwondo’ to some extent.

So, they mix in fancy movements to entertain the eyes of those who see them. 바카라사이트

On the other hand, Poomsae is considered an area that embraces the legitimacy of Taekwondo.

Poomsae, a 'virtual sparring' that is a collection of basic movements of attack and defense, plays a significant role in the 'martial art' called Taekwondo, which has been around for a long time.

Cha Ye-eun is an athlete who transitioned from the demonstration team to Poomsae, which seems to have the opposite personality.

Cha Ye-eun, who could no longer participate in the demonstration team due to a serious injury to the cruciate ligament and cartilage in her left knee, chose Poomsae.

Cha Ye-eun, who introduces herself as a 'free poomsae' player, describes this transition as a 'reversal of her life'.

As a competitive sport, Poomsae is divided into certified Poomsae and free Poomsae.

While certified Poomsae is an event in which the prescribed movements are performed most disciplinedly and accurately, free Poomsae involves moving freely to prepared music.

Some say that Taekwondo has been infused with 'artistry' as the various movements unfold in an unpredictable manner.

On the 24th, at the Lin'an Sports Culture Exhibition Center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, Cha Ye-eun played a total of four games in one day, starting from the round of 16 and ending with the final.

‘Free Poomsae Player’ Cha Ye-eun’s concern was the round of 16 and quarter-finals where scoring was done only on certified Poomsae without free Poomsae.

In fact, the quarterfinals were the most critical.

He received an average of 7.830 points in the first and second games, beating Vietnam's Nguyen Thi Kim Ha (7.820) by 0.01 points.

Cha Ye-eun, who met with reporters in the common reporting area after the game, laughed and said, "Because I won with such a small score, I suddenly gained confidence that I could do it just by getting past the quarterfinals."

Cha Ye-eun won consecutive wins with a large score margin over her opponent from the semifinals when Jayu Poomsae began scoring.

Cha Ye-eun, who recorded 7.280 points in free poomsae in the semifinals, far ahead of Taiwan's Cheon Shim-ya (6.860), widened the gap by more than 5 points in free poomsae in the finals, beating Japan's Yuiko Niwa and won the championship.

Unlike Kang Wan-jin (Hongcheon-gun Office), who won the men's division together, who burst into tears thinking about the pain of his injury and his mother, Cha Ye-eun was calm.

Cha Ye-eun said, "Practice was more difficult.

I had already shed all my tears while practicing. On the contrary, I worked so hard on rehabilitation that my body seems to be in better shape than before."

Cha Ye-eun says she doesn't like that static poomsae is perceived as a 'boring sport' compared to sparring.

Cha Ye-eun's theory is that with the introduction of free poomsae, it has become a sport that can attract people.

Cha Ye-eun, who showed off her gold medal, smiled and said, "I think I can now call myself a Poomsae athlete."

He added, "This time, I think I've really shown the charm of free poomsae.

When I do poomsae, the way I look at my eyes changes."

Cha Ye-eun, who started out as a Poomsae athlete, has recently achieved great results one after another.

Cha Ye-eun took the top spot in the free Poomsae individual event at the Asian Poomsae Championships and the Goyang World Poomsae Championships held last year.

Cha Ye-eun also took first place in the individual Poomsae event at the Summer World University Games held in Chengdu, China last July.
