A transsexual walked out on her British husband two weeks after he helped her win the right to stay in this country.
Ian Young spent £12,000 fighting for a British visa for his Malaysian wife Fatine – who was born Mohammed Fazdil Min Bahari – after she claimed she would be jailed if she returned to her home country, where homosexuality is illegal.
He claims his love for the 38-year-old pre-operative transsexual even saw him being hounded out of caretaking jobs at three schools by angry parents.

But two weeks after his wife was granted a visa, she left him. He says she is now living on benefits in Manchester after failing to start a career as a showgirl in Blackpool.
Mr Young, 32, who says that at one stage he tried to kill himself by overdosing on pills, is trying to rebuild his life after he was left jobless and homeless.

He said: ‘I used every penny I had and I lost everything. I lost my job, I lost my house and finally I lost my wife. Looking back I realise she was using me to get a visa.
'I feel like a fool. It was supposed to be the happiest time of my life. Now she won’t speak to me and she won’t get a divorce.’

The couple met when Mr Young was working as a security guard in Malaysia.
At first he did not realise she had been born a man. When he discovered her secret, he continued the relationship despite her refusing to have sex-change surgery to become a woman.
Within the space of three years, Mr Young went from being a straight man who had previously had an eight-year relationship with a woman to being homosexual.
Fatine later moved into his house in Derby on a six-month tourist visa. The couple had a civil partnership ceremony at their local register office in 2009.
They fought for a full visa for Fatine after the request was initially turned down by the Home Office.
Mr Young said the stress and disapproval of angry parents led to him leaving a string of caretaking jobs. He was prescribed anti-depressants and said he even tried to commit suicide by taking an overdose of pills.
To support her visa case, Fatine included in her application death threats made against her on an internet site in Malaysia. When she was finally granted a visa, Mr Young was overjoyed and began planning their future together. But two weeks later, she moved out.
‘Fatine went off to live with friends in Blackpool and that didn’t work out because they got fed up with her not getting work there,’ he said. ‘She thought she could crack it as a showgirl and got refused, so now she is in Manchester claiming benefits.’
He added: ‘Our relationship was okay, but it was always filled with worry about visas, not just about getting them, but where we were getting the money from.

‘I admit that I did neglect Fatine when I was depressed. I just wanted her to tell me we could get through it together but she wasn’t interested.
‘I’m trying to start my own business. I’m still in debt, but I’m moving on and getting back on my feet.’

LONDON – Sikap dingin suaminya, Ian Young menjadi punca mak nyah dari Malaysia, Fatine meninggalkan dia dua minggu selepas lelaki Inggeris berkenaan, Ian Young membantunya mendapatkan hak untuk menetap di Britain, lapor sebuah akhbar Daily Mail semalam.
Fatine, 38, akhirnya memutuskan untuk memberi penjelasan tentang punca perpisahan mereka selepas suaminya yang berusia 32 tahun itu mendakwa, dia ditinggalkan tanpa alasan setelah membelanjakan £12,000 (RM59,061) bagi membantu mendapatkan visa isterinya.
Fatine berkata, dia melakukan pengorbanan besar dengan berhijrah ke Britain dan tinggal dengan Young tetapi akhirnya, dia disisihkan lelaki itu.
Suami Fatine sebelum ini berkerja sebagai penyelenggara bangunan sekolah di Derby, England.
“Dia (Young) meminggirkan saya. Amat sengsara apabila lelaki yang anda cinta dingin terhadap anda. Saya berkorban segalanya demi dia,” kata Fatine.
Menurutnya, pada malam sebelum dia meninggalkan suaminya, mereka bergaduh besar.
Young kemudian bergegas meninggalkan kediaman mereka di Pear Tree, Derby.
“Dia meninggalkan saya tanpa memberikan saya sesen pun,” kata Fatine.
Suaminya sebelum ini memberitahu, dia terpaksa menganggur selepas diberhentikan dari tiga buah sekolah di Derby kerana tekanan ibu bapa yang marah dengan gaya hidup homoseks mereka.
Young turut kehilangan rumahnya dan pernah cuba membunuh diri dengan menelan sejumlah pil.
Bibit-bibit cinta pasangan itu bermula apabila Young berkenalan dengan Fatine semasa dia bekerja sebagai pengawal keselamatan di Malaysia. Pasangan itu pertama kali berbual di sebuah kedai kopi dan ketika itu, Young tidak tahu bahawa Fatine ialah seorang mak nyah.
Selepas mak nyah itu mendedahkan siapa dirinya yang sebenar, hubungan mereka terus mekar.
Young pernah menjalin hubungan cinta selama lapan tahun dengan seorang wanita tetapi memutuskan untuk menukar selera seksnya selepas bertemu Fatine.
Fatine kemudian berhijrah ke Derby dan pasangan tersebut berkahwin dalam satu majlis sivil di Pejabat Pendaftar Derby pada 2009.
Masalah mereka bermula apabila permohonan visa Fatine ditolak oleh Pejabat Dalam Negeri Britain.
Mereka terpaksa mengemukakan rayuan beberapa kali dengan menyatakan, Fatine boleh dipenjarakan jika dia kembali ke Malaysia kerana negara berkenaan melarang hubungan homoseks.
Bagi mengukuhkan alasan mereka, Fatine turut menyatakan, nyawanya terancam sekiranya dia pulang ke Malaysia kerana terdapat ugutan bunuh yang dibuat terhadapnya di sebuah laman web di negara itu.
“Kami terpaksa memohon visa sebanyak lima kali dan kosnya mencecah ribuan pound sterling. Saya pula berkerja sebagai penyelenggara sebuah sekolah kecil dengan gaji cuma £640 (RM3,160) sebulan,” kata Young sebelum ini.
Mengulas mengenai kenyataan suaminya itu, Fatine yang kini tinggal berasingan bersama seorang rakannya memberitahu, dia bukan berkahwin dengan Young semata-mata untuk mendapatkan visa.
“Saya menyintainya bukan kerana visa. Saya tiada rakan, tiada keluarga di Britain, saya terpaksa bergantung hidup sepenuhnya kepada suami saya. Namun, bagaimana kami boleh berbaik semula sedangkan dia (Young) pernah berkata perkara buruk terhadap saya,” kata Fatine.
Menurut mak nyah itu, dia sedang mencari pekerjaan untuk memulakan hidup baru di Britain.
Dia kini menyara hidup dengan menerima elaun pengangguran di negara Eropah itu. Nama lelaki Fatine ialah Mohammed Fazdil Min Bahari.
Ketika ditanya sama ada dia mengabaikan isterinya, Young mengakui perkara tersebut pernah berlaku.
“Saya mengaku saya mengabaikan Fatine apabila saya tertekan. Saya juga ingin memberitahunya bahawa kami boleh menempuh segala kesusahan bersama-sama tetapi dia tidak berminat untuk mendengarnya,” ujar Young.
“Saya kini cuba memulakan perniagaan sendiri. Ya, saya masih banyak berhutang tetapi saya cuba untuk bangun semula,” tambahnya. – Agensi

Transeksual Fatine: Saya banyak korban, tapi ‘suami’ saya abai saya

LONDON, 13 April – Transeksual rakyat Malaysia, Fatine mempertahankan tindakannya terpaksa meninggalkan Ian Young, ‘suaminya’ seorang rakyat British dua minggu selepas dia memperoleh visa untuk tinggal di United Kingdom (UK).
Fatine, 38, (gambar) atau nama sebenarnya Mohammed Fazdil Min Bahari berkata, dia melakukan pengorbanan besar dengan berhijrah ke UK untuk tinggal bersamanya tetapi sikap Young telah memaksanya memutuskan hubungan mereka yang terjalin lebih lima tahun.
“Akhirnya dia mengabaikan saya sama sekali. Sesuatu yang menyakitkan apabila lelaki yang anda cintai melayan anda macam itu. Saya telah mengorbankan hidup saya kerana dia,” katanya dipetik The Daily Mail.
Young juga mengaku dia tidak melayan Farine dengan baik sebagai mana dia sepatutnya telah lakukan.
Dalam laporan awal semalam, The Daily Mail menyebut Fatine, yang pada hujung 2009 mendapat perhatian ekoran laporan media bahawa kemungkinan dikenakan tindakan imigresen, telah berpisah dengan suaminya selepas dua minggu memperoleh visa untuk tinggal di UK.
Young mendakwa telah menghabiskan sekitar £12,000 (hampir RM60,000) untuk mendapatkan visa bagi Fatine.
Young, 32, mendakwa cintanya dengan Fatine juga menyebabkan dia kehilangan kerja sebagai penjaga di tiga sekolah ekoran kemarahan beberapa ibu bapa.

Kata Young, selepas dua minggu memperoleh visa Fatine telah meninggalkannya. Fatine kini tinggal di Manchester.
Ekoran tindakan isterinya itu, Young berkata, dia yang rasa tertekan cuba membunuh diri dengan mengambil pil dan kini cuba untuk membina semula hidupnya selepas hilang kerja dan tiada rumah untuk tinggal.
Katanya: “Saya menggunakan setiap sen (untuk Fatine) dan saya sudah kehilangan segala-galanya, saya sudah kehilangan rumah dan akhirnya saya hilang isteri saya.”
“Merenung (apa yang berlaku), (saya merasakan) dia menggunakan saya untuk mendapatkan visa,” katanya dipetik The Daily Mail.
“Saya merasakan saya seolah-olah seorang bodoh. Saya sepatutnya menikmati hidup paling menggembirakan dalam hidup saya. Sekarang dia tidak bercakap dengan saya, dan dia tidak akan dapat perceraian,” katanya lagi.
