61 Songs About Medicine, Doctors, and HealthUpdated on February 8, 2019

FlourishAnyway believes there is a playlist for just about any situation and is on a mission to unite and entertain the world through song.

Celebrate doctors, medicine, and the healthcare system in a playlist of pop, rock, country, R&B, and metal songs.  Whether you love doctors or avoid the healthcare system at all costs, there's a song just for you! | Source
Doctor, DoctorWonder why medical debt is the leading cause of bankruptcy in the United States? You're paying for an awful lot of education supporting that physician's expert medical opinion:
  • a four-year undergraduate degree
  • four more years of medical school
  • a residency program lasting from 3-8 years, depending on the medical specialty and
  • specialty fellowships lasting 1-3 years (optional).
When medical care saves your life, however, that hefty price is worthwhile, although a new set of worries can begin once those bills begin to pour in.  For better or worse, many of us wouldn't be where we are now if it were not for doctors, modern medicine, and our healthcare system. Whether you're a hospital worker or a patient, celebrate doctors, hospitals, and medicine with a playlist of popular songs. We have a long list to start you out!

1. "Stayin' Alive" by Bee GeesIsn't this the whole point of the healthcare systemto keep people alive? This disco smash hit from 1977 was part of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack and is Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
Interestingly, it's also been used to train medical professionals to administer the correct number of chest compressions per minute. CPR requires 100-120, and the song has about 104 beats per minute.

2. "Bad Medicine" by Bon JoviAlthough he's ailing desperately, the guy in this 1988 hair metal song doesn't have a fever. He's suffering from "a permanent disease" and searching earnestly for a cure. (Sounds really bad.) The narrator has already determined that the remedy for his toxic love addiction is some bad medicine from his sweetheart. Evidently, millions of people were ill that year with the same ailment because the song was an international favorite.
If you're suffering from a toxic love affair and want to assemble a playlist of songs about toxic love relationships then click here.

3. "I Want a New Drug" by Huey Lewis & The NewsIn this pop song from 1984, a man is looking for a new drug to make him feel like he does when he's alone with his girlfriend. Perhaps they broke up or he just can't get enough of her. Whatever the reason, he lists all the side effects that the drug cannot have. Apparently, his honey fills the prescription.

4. "Bad Case Of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)" by Robert PalmerIn this 1979 rock song is a man who is wholly smitten with a woman who repeatedly betrays him. He has a bad case of love obsession, and there's no pill for this affliction, although he seeks help from a doctor just in case. An adaptation of the tune is featured as the opening theme song for the medically-themed talk show, The Doctors.

5. "Another One Bites the Dust" by QueenWhen all medical interventions fail, this is what happens. We go meet our maker. We take a dirt nap. We cash in our chips. Sooner or later, we'll all go toes up, although doctors try to prolong our lives and make the best of the years we have.
This rock classic was a worldwide favorite in 1980. Ironically, because the song is about 110 beats a minute, it is also used to train medical professionals to administer the correct number of CPR chest compressions per minute (100-120).  A little creepy, huh?

6. "The First Cut Is the Deepest" by Sheryl CrowIf you've ever had surgery, then you're probably thankful that there are good people who don't get woozy at the sight of blood and needles. Aren't you glad your surgeon and his or her team can slice and dice you then sew you up, good as new? (Well, almost.)
Sheryl Crow didn't sing this chart-topping rock ballad first, but I think she sang it best with her 2003 cover of Cat Stevens' original.

7. "A Little Bit Longer" by Jonas BrothersNick Jonas wrote this 2008 pop song about his struggle with Type 1 Diabetes, previously called juvenile diabetes. Unless you've walked in the shoes of someone with an incurable chronic illness, you just couldn't understand. The tune describes the frustrations of such an illness and the requisite patience while you wait for medical research to find a cure.  May medical researchers find it soon.

8. "Hospital" by Counting CrowsIn this 2012 rock song, the narrator is headed to the hospital, and he's anticipating all that goes along with hospitalization: hospital gowns, not knowing when you'll be released, not being able to sleep, and lots of pills. The song references the experience of song's front man who suffered major withdrawal symptoms after coming off of ineffective psychiatric medicine which was prescribed to him for a mental disorder.

9. "Cuts Like a Knife" by Bryan AdamsIn this 1983 rock song, the narrator's lover might as well have a scalpel in her hand. She's severing their relationship and hasn't bothered with anesthesia. Rumor is that the woman has been cheating on the poor fella. Although he feels betrayed, he also admits needing her. That sure cuts like a knife.
If you know what it's like to be in an unfaithful love relationshipwhether as the cheater or the cheated uponhere are additional lying and cheating rock anthems.

10. "Chemo Hero" by Dolly PartonDolly Parton wrote this 2017 song for her own niece who battled five brutal years of leukemia and is now an adult. Although it's a children's tune, I included it because it is touching and an important, uplifting song to have in your treasure trove.
The tune describes the heroism of tolerating neverending chemo treatments and being frequently poked with needles. Together with the help of loved ones, doctors, and nurses, the young patient is a "chemo hero" who is getting rid of bad cells.

11.  "Doctor! Doctor!" by The Thompson TwinsThis international pop hit from 1984 features a narrator who addresses the object of his sexual desire, attempting to lure her closer. He's not sure whether it's love he's feeling, but there's some kind of fever that's "burning, burning" in his loin area. He consults his doctor for an urgent diagnosis.

12. "Just Like a Pill" by PinkThis 2001 pop song describes the narrator's desire to break free from a dysfunctional romantic relationship. Given her history of drug problems, Pink couches the toxic dynamics within the context of rehab and being on a bad trip.

13. "Doctor Love" by First ChoiceWith just one kiss, a love doctor wrote the lady in this 1977 R&B ditty a prescription for her pain and cured her.  Doctor love saved her from a broken heart, performed a smooth operation on her, and she's been healthy ever since.  Maybe she needs to share his number?

14. "Witch Doctor" by David Seville What do you do when the woman you adore doesn't return your affections? The guy in this fun 1958 novelty song consults a witch doctor on how to win her heart. (Oh, if it were only that easy!) Witch doctors are traditional healers who treat medical ailments, including those caused by witchcraft.

"Good health and good sense are two of life's greatest blessings." - Publilius Syrus, ancient Latin writer  | Source

15. "Medicine" by Harry StylesThe person Harry Styles is talking to in this 2018 pop song must be a nurse because Harry says he's "here to take my medicine." The sexually suggestive song has been called a bisexual anthem, in that it refers to love interests that are both male and female.

16. "Dr. Feelgood" by Motley CrueThis is not the kind of doctor you want to seek. In fact, he's not even a medical doctor at all. This 1989 heavy metal describes a drug dealer who calls himself "Dr. Feelgood" and sells heroin to the desperate. Beware of his treatments; the medicine is worse than what ails you.

17. "Medicine" by Kelly ClarksonSome people can get over a former lover quickly, while for others it's a process. In this 2017 pop song, a newly empowered woman informs her ex that she has nearly forgotten about him. The guy created too much drama, and now narrator doesn't think about him. Her ex is no longer her medicine.

18. "Spoonful of Sugar" by Julie AndrewsIf you've ever watched Mary Poppins, then you're familiar with the medically-related refrain of this1964 classic show tune:
A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
The medicine go down-wown
The medicine go down
Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
In a most delightful way.
The meaning of the  sage advice from the kind and self-assured nanny is that if you include something fun or positive in your work, it'll seem much less cumbersome. To help you with that spoonful of sugar, here's a sugar and sweets playlist.

19. "Stitches" by Shawn MendesWhen your unkind lover delivers words that cut deeper than a knife, you'll obviously need stitches to mend that wound. (There will still be scarring, however.) This 2015 pop song was an international hit, and in it, the mean woman whom Shawn Mendes loves simply watches him bleed.

20. "Calling Dr. Love" by KISSDon't you love how some people think they're all that and a bag of chips? Thinking very highly of his sexual prowess and attractiveness, the make-up adorned dude in this 1977 rock song claims to be Dr. Love. He sees a woman he likes and assures her that he has the cure she's looking for:
You need my love baby, oh so bad
You're not the only one I've ever had
And if I say I want to set you free
Don't you know you'll be in misery.
However, with bravado like that, one wonders whether it's something more than love that he's spreading?

Fantasia Bulan Madu

This song is by Amy Search.
Demi cintaku padamu
Ke mana pun kan ku bawa
Ke hujung dunia ke bintang kejora

Demi cintaku padamu
Ku korbankan jiwa dan raga
Biarpun harus ku telan lautan bara

Bulan madu di awan biru
Tiada yang mengganggu
Bulan madu di atas pelangi
Hanya kita berdua
Mengecap nikmat cinta
Yang putih tak terbanding
Sesuci embun pagi

Andai dipisah
Laut dan pantai
Musnahlah ilham
Hilang pedoman

Andai dipisah
Cahaya dan bulan
Gelap gelita
Punah asmara

Bulan madu di awan biru
Tiada yang mengganggu
Bulan madu di atas pelangi
Hanya kita berdua
Mengecap nikmat cinta
Yang putih tak terbanding
Sesuci embun pagi

Andai dipisah
Laut dan pantai
Musnahlah ilham
Hilang pedoman

Andai dipisah
Cahaya dan bulan
Gelap gelita
Punah asmara

Andai dipisah
Laut dan pantai
Musnahlah ilham
Hilang pedoman

Andai dipisah
Cahaya dan bulan
Gelap gelita
Punah asmara

Andai dipisah
Laut dan pantai
Musnahlah ilham
Hilang pedoman

Andai dipisah
Cahaya dan bulan
Gelap gelita
Punah asmara

Puff, The Magic Dragon
Peter, Paul and Mary

[Intro]
Puff, the magic dragon
Lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist
In a land called Honalee

[Verse 1]
Little Jackie Paper
Loved that rascal Puff
And brought him strings and sealing wax
And other fancy stuff

[Chorus]
Oh, Puff, the magic dragon
Lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist
In a land called Honalee

Puff, the magic dragon
Lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist
In a land called Honalee

[Verse 2]
Together they would travel
On a boat with billowed sail
Jackie kept a look-out
Perched on Puff's gigantic tail

[Verse 3]
Noble kings and princes
Would bow whene'er they came
Pirate ships would lower their flags
When Puff roared out his name

[Chorus]
Oh, Puff, the magic dragon
Lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist
In a land called Honalee

Puff, the magic dragon
Lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist
In a land called Honalee

[Verse 4]
A dragon lives forever
But not so, little boys
Painted wings and giants's rings
Make way for other toys

[Verse 5]
One grey night it happened
Jackie Paper came no more
And Puff, that mighty dragon
He ceased his fearless roar

[Verse 6]
His head was bent in sorrow
Green scales fell like rain
Puff no longer went to play
Along the cherry lane

[Verse 7]
Without his lifelong friend
Puff could not be brave
So Puff, that mighty dragon
Sadly slipped into his cave

[Chorus]
Oh, Puff, the magic dragon
Lived by the sea
And frolicked in the Autumn mist
In a land called Honalee

Puff, the magic dragon
Lived by the sea
And frolicked in the Autumn mist
In a land called Honalee

Putus Terpaksa
Ziana Zain
(Saari Amri/Saari Amri)

Verse 1 :
Seringkali kau menepis
Tiap persoalan
Ada sesuatu kau sembunyikan
Dari pengetahuanku
Dapat aku merasakan
Ketara perubahan
Setelah jelas terbukti
Sesuatu yang terlarang
Menjadi teman hidupmu
Selain aku

Verse 2:
Demi masa hadapan kita
Aku merayu kuncikan keinginanmu
Bernafaslah dalam sejahtera
Kupasti ruang untukmu
Masih ada

Chorus :
Puas sudah ku menghimpun doa
Agar kau berubah
Berpaling membentuk
Impian hidup kita
Namun tiada oh kudratku
Untuk halang keinginan
Suaraku tak berdaya
Menentang kemahuanmu
Sia-sia belaka aku
Berkorban kasih ku padamu
Sekiranya kau
Masih tak ubah pendirian
Yang hanya menjanjikan
Pemergian ngeri
Yang tak memberi erti

(CHORUS )

Verse 3 :
Demi masa hadapan
Tak sanggup aku
Bertemankan oh kasihmu
Yang penuh dengan fantasi
Terpaksa jua kuundur diri(x 2)

The Drugs Don't Work
The Verve
All this talk of getting old
It's getting me down my love
Like a cat in a bag, waiting to drown
This time I'm coming down
And I hope you're thinking of me
As you lay down on your side
Now the drugs don't work
They just make you worse
But I know I'll see your face again
Now the drugs don't work
They just make you worse
But I know I'll see your face again
But I know I'm on a losing streak
As I pass down by your street
And if you wanna show, then just let me know
And I'll sing in your ear again
Now the drugs don't work
They just make you worse
But I know I'll see your face again
'Cause baby, ooh, if heaven falls, I'm coming too
Just like you said, if you leave my life, I'm better off dead
All this talk of getting old
It's getting me down my Lord
Like a cat in a bag, waiting to drown
This time I'm coming down
Now the drugs don't work
They just make you worse
But I know I'll see your face again
'Cause baby, ooh, if heaven falls, I'm coming too
Just like you said, if you leave my life, I'm better off dead
But if you wanna show, just let me know
And I'll sing in your ear again
Now the drugs don't work
They just make you worse
But I know I'll see your face again
Yeah, I know I'll see your face again
Yeah, I know I'll see your face again
Yeah, I know I'll see your face again, oh Lord
Yeah, I know I'll see your face again, oh Lord
I'm never coming down now, I'm never coming down
No more, no more, no more, no more, no more
I'm never coming down now, I'm never coming down
No more, no more, no more, no more, no more
I'm never coming down now, I'm never coming down
No more, no more, no more, no more, no more
I'm never coming down now, I'm never coming down
No more, no more, no more, no more, no more
I'm never coming down now, I'm never coming down
No more, no more, no more, no more, no more

Dok ralit doo doo doo lagu ni pasal meth.... Matilanak dark sungguh lagu ni...tp suka lagu ni...

Semi-Charmed Life
Third Eye Blind
I'm packed and I'm holding
I'm smiling, she's living, she's golden
And she lives for me
She says she lives for me
Ovation
She's got her own motivation
She comes round and she goes down on me
And I make her smile
It's like a drug for you
Do ever what you want to do
Coming over you
Keep on smiling, what we go through
One stop to the rhythm that divides you
And I speak to you like the chorus to the verse
Chop another line like a coda with a curse
And I come on like a freak show takes the stage
We give them the games we play, she said
I want something else
To get me through this
Semi-charmed kind of life
I want something else
I'm not listening when you say
Good-bye
The sky it was gold, it was rose
I was taking sips of it through my nose
And I wish I could get back there
Some place back there
Smiling in the pictures you would take
Doing crystal myth
Will lift you up until you break
It won't stop
I won't come down, I keep stock
With a tick-tock rhythm and a bump for the drop
And then I bumped up
I took the hit I was given
Then I bumped again
And then I bumped again
How do I get back there to
The place where I fell asleep inside you?
How do I get myself back to
The place where you said
I want something else
To get me through this
Semi-charmed kind of life
I want something else
I'm not listening when you say
Good-bye
I believe in the sand beneath my toes
The beach gives a feeling
An earthy feeling
I believe in the faith that grows
And the four right chords can make me cry
When I'm with you I feel like I could die
And that would be all right
All right
When the plane came in
She said she was crashing
The velvet it rips
In the city we tripped
On the urge to feel alive
But now I'm struggling to survive
The days you were wearing
That velvet dress
You're the priestess, I must confess
Those little red panties
They pass the test
Slide up around the belly
Face down on the mattress
One
Now you hold me
And we're broken
Still its all that I want to do
Feel myself with a head made of the ground
I'm scared but I'm not coming down
And I won't run for my life
She's got her jaws just locked now in smile
But nothing is all right
All right
I want something else
To get me through this life
I want something else
I'm not listening when you say
Good-bye

Toy Soldiers became Martikas one and only number one hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for 2 weeks in July of 1989. Martika had written the song about a friend of hers who had a drug addiction.

[Intro]
Step by step
Heart to heart
Left, right, left
We all fall down
Like toy soldiers

[Verse 1]
It wasn't my intention to mislead you
It never should have been this way
What can I say?
It's true
I did extend the invitation
I never knew how long you'd stay
When you hear temptation call
It's your heart that takes
Takes the fall
(Won't you come out and play with me?)

[Chorus]
Step by step
Heart to heart
Left, right, left
We all fall down
Like toy soldiers

Bit by bit
Torn apart
We never win
But the battle wages on
For toy soldiers

[Verse 2]
It's getting hard to wake up in the morning
My head is spinning constantly
How can it be?
How could I be so blind to this addiction?

If I don't stop
The next one's gonna be me
Only emptiness remains
It replaces all
All the pain
(Won't you come out and play with me?)

[Chorus]
Step by step
Heart to heart
Left, right, left
We all fall down
Like toy soldiers

Bit by bit
Torn apart
We never win
But the battle wages on
For toy soldiers
(We never win)

[Bridge]
Only emptiness remains
It replaces all
All the pain
(Won't you come out and play with me?)

this song is most probably about drugs - "my best friend" katanya

I'm taking a ride
With my best friend
I hope he never lets me down again
He knows where he's taking me
Taking me where I want to be
I'm taking a ride
With my best friend

We're flying high
We're watching the world pass us by
Never want to come down
Never want to put my feet back down
On the ground

I'm taking a ride
With my best friend
I hope he never lets me down again
Promises me I'm safe as houses
As long as I remember who's wearing the trousers
I hope he never lets me down again

Never let me down

See the stars, they're shining bright
Everything's alright tonight

Damon Albarn admits in 1000 UK #1 Hits by Jon Kutner and Spencer Leigh, "It's about drugs basically. I'm not sure what a Beetlebum is. It's just a word I sang when I played the song to myself. I asked the others if I should change it, but they said no. If it felt right, we decided that we wouldn't tidy it up like we've done in the past."

ai layan jah... comel giler damon dlm vid nih

Beetlebum
What you've done
She's a gun
Now what you've done
Beetlebum
Get nothing done
You beetlebum just get numb
Now what you've done
Beetlebum
And when she lets me slip away
She turns me on all my violence is gone
Nothing is wrong
I just slip away and I am gone
Nothing is wrong
She turns me on
I just slip away and I am gone
Beetlebum
Because you're young
She's a gun
Now what you've done
Beetlebum
She'll suck your thumb
She'll make you come
Coz, she's your gun
Now what you've done
Beetlebum
And when she lets me slip away
She turns me on all my violence is gone
Nothing is wrong
I just slip away and I am gone
Nothing is wrong
She turns me on
I just slip away and I am gone

so many references to drug use

[Eminem:]
I take a couple uppers, I down a couple downers
But nothin' compares to these blue and yellow purple pills
I been to mushroom mountain once or twice, but who's countin'?
But nothin' compares to these blue and yellow purple pills

Cool, calm, just like my mom
With a couple of Valium inside her palm
It's Mr. Mischief with a trick up his sleeve
Roll up on you like Christopher Reeves
I can't describe the vibe I get
When I drive by six people and five I hit
Ah shit, I started a mosh pit
Squashed a bitch and stomped her foster kids
These shrooms make me hallucinate
Then I sweat 'til I start losin' weight
'Til I see dumb shit start happenin'
Dumber than Vanilla Ice tryin' to rap again
So bounce, bounce! Come on, bounce!
(Gunshots) I said come on, bounce!
Everybody in the house with a half an ounce
Not weed, I meant coke; dumb-ass, sit down!
We don't bullshit, better ask around
D12 throws the bombest bash in town
Bizarre, your mom is passin' out
Get her ass on the couch before she crashes out

[Kuniva and (Kon Artis):]
Fuck that, someone help Denaun
He's upstairs naked with a weapon drawn
(Hey Von, you see me steppin' on these leprechauns?)
It got to be acid 'cause the X is gone
(Yeah, I took 'em all, dog, with some parmesan
And I think my arm is gone) C no it's probably numb
Young, dumb, and full of cum
And I think he about to swallow his tongue
(Scaredy ass, it was a false alarm
You think I'm about to die when I just got on?)
Well, stop actin' stupid; you so high
That you might wake up with a guy on some new shit
(Yeah, I think I did too much
This substance equals cuffs
Red pills, blue pills, and green
Big pills (that's ill) C mescaline)

[Eminem:]
I take a couple uppers, I down a couple downers
But nothin' compares to these blue and yellow purple pills
I been to mushroom mountain once or twice, but who's countin'?
But nothin' compares to these blue and yellow purple pills

Dirty Dozen, eighty of us
Shady brothers, ladies love us
That's why our baby mothers
Love us but they hate each other
They probably wanna take each other out
And date each other
Some-, some-, some-, somethin'
Somethin', somethin', somethin'

[Proof:]
Pop pills, pills I pop
Pop two pills, on stilts I walk
Snort two lines that were filled with chalk
Thought I was incredible and killed the Hulk
I wanna roll away like a rollerblade
Until my eyes roll back in my skull for days
And when I'm old and gray
Look for dope to smoke? No? Okey-doke
I'm packin' my nose with coke
Am I supposed to choke?
Had an accident when the Trojan broke
Ah, poor baby, born by a whore lady
Now I got to strangle an infant (You're crazy!)

[Swift:]
I pop four E's at one time
And I don't need water when I'm swallowin' mine
(Hey, you got any shrooms?)
Does Bizarre smoke crack?
We can't get jobs, because our arms show tracks
Why the hell you niggas think I rap?
We do it just to get your company hijacked
If you like smack, then I might too
(Swift, chill!) C I just want to get high like you
And I don't give a damn if they white or blue
Speed, shrooms, down the Valiums
Even smoke weed out of vacuums
I just copped some and I'm goin' back soon

[Eminem:]
I take a couple uppers, I down a couple downers
But nothin' compares to these blue and yellow purple pills
I been to mushroom mountain once or twice, but who's countin'?
But nothin' compares to these blue and yellow purple pills

[Bizarre:]
I'm at a rave, lookin' like a slave
High off chronic
Gin and tonic demonic, body smell like vomit
Pussy poppin', acid droppin', dope-heady guy
Heroin mescaline pencil leads, wanna try?
Blue pills, golden seals, got Bizarre actin' ill
Drugs kill (yeah, right) C bitch, I'm for real
Shut yo' mouth, you dirty slut!
You know you want it in your butt
I'll put it in your cunt, let Bizarre nut!

[Eminem:]
I take a couple uppers, I down a couple downers
But nothin' compares to these blue and yellow purple pills
I been to mushroom mountain once or twice, but who's countin'?
But nothin' compares to these blue and yellow purple pills

Dirty Dozen, eighty of us
Shady brothers, ladies love us
That's why our baby mothers
Love us but they hate each other
They probably wanna take each other out
And date each other
Some-, some-, some-, somethin'

Mary Jane = marijuana, nuff said

Lady of the dam
Wont be a slave to the blonde
Or the culture of the popular
She wont, she won't
Sing at you I'll
Fly under radar tonight
Make deals with every devil in sight
I will, I will

'Cause I love, love, 'cause I love, love
You better than, you better than
My darkest sin
Russian hookers, and cheap gin

I think that I could be fine
If I could be Mary Jane Holland tonight
I think we'd have a good time
If you'd meet me and Mary Jane in Holland tonight

Mary, Jane, Holland (whoh-who)
Mary, Jane, Holland (whoh-who)

I don't like to boast
But our truffles are the most
Mad-magical in Amsterdam (she won't, she won't)
So if you have fear, Apollo sit on my lyre, and
Play hIm like a piano man (I will, I will)

'Cause I love, love, 'cause I love, love
You better than, you better than
My darkest sin
Russian hookers, and cheap gin

I think that I could be fine
If I could be Mary Jane Holland tonight
I think we'd have a good time
If you'd meet me and Mary Jane in Holland tonight

Mary, Jane, Holland (whoh-who)
Mary, Jane, Holland (whoh-who)

I know that mom and dad think I'm a mess
But it's alright, because
I am rich as piss
When I ignite
And put you in my mouth
The grass heats up my insides and my brunette starts to sprout
Introducing, ladies and gentleman, Mary Jane Holland

I think that I could be fine
If I could be Mary Jane Holland tonight
I think we'd have a good time
If you'd meet me and Mary Jane in Holland tonight

Mary, Jane, Holland (whoh-who)
Mary, Jane, Holland (whoh-who)

Mary, Jane, Holland (whoh-who)
Mary, Jane, Holland (whoh-who)
