kan mereka ni singgah kat malaysia kan. Ada berita mereka masuk paper. Bapa dia nak anak dia jadi pilot yang termuda mengalahkan satu budak ni. Tak silap anak dia dalam belasan tahun aje.
Ish....memang sedihlah dengan ttg plane crash. Pulaknya I nak balik kg naik plane ni!

MAS offers to bring MH17 families to Amsterdam, but cautions against trip

KUALA LUMPUR, July 23 — Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is advising the families of those killed on Flight MH17 against travelling to Amsterdam where the remains will soon arrive, saying they may be distressed and disappointed by what awaits them there.

The flag carrier’s media relations manager Khairunnisak Dzun Nurin told The Malay Mail Online that the airline is uncertain of the duration of the disaster victim identification process, which is being headed by the Dutch authorities.

But despite the words of caution, MAS said it would take the necessary steps for the families to head to the Netherlands should they insist on going.

“Whilst we do not encourage next-of-kin to go to Amsterdam to view the remains of their loved ones, we will make arrangements for close family members to travel if they so wish,” said Khairunnisak, in a brief text message.

“This is because, they may be anguished by the long wait for the remains to be positively identified whilst waiting in Amsterdam.”

Worst, the families may never even be allowed to view the remains before they are sent home.

Earlier this evening, national news agency Bernama reported MAS is offering to bring four representatives of each of 43 Malaysians on MH17 to Amsterdam, to view their remains and to return with the bodies to Malaysia for burial.

Of that number, 21 were identified to have been Muslim, including the crew.

Data downloaded from MH17 black boxes holds clues to rocket traces

KHARKIV, July 25 — Data from the downed Malaysian jet’s black boxes has been successfully downloaded a week after the tragedy in east Ukraine, with the examination of bodies also under way as crash experts seek evidence of a missile strike.

“Cockpit voice recorders can be sensitive enough to pick up the sound of hailstones, so there’s a chance that we may hear shrapnel hitting the plane,” said ex-AAIB investigator Phil Giles, who worked on the 1988 Pan Am Flight 103 bombing over Scotland. “With the power shutting down as the plane breaks up we may also get very little, but given the nature of the attack we should have enough evidence to reach conclusions anyway just from the major fragments, however contaminated the crash site.”

While the plane’s flight-data recorder was “slightly damaged”, the memory module was intact and no evidence of manipulation was found, the Dutch agency said today, echoing earlier comments on the voice recorder. Information was successfully downloaded and appeared to be valid.

Data from both devices will be further analysed and combined, though this will take time, it said.

Binary code

The AAIB, located in Farnborough, southwest of London, will have downloaded the flight data in binary code before translating it into so-called engineering units providing second-by-second numbers and graphics for parameters including the aircraft’s velocity, heading, altitude, flap settings and the speed of its engines, Giles said.

Wing impact

“Some of the images from the scene already seem to show missile damage, though the team will need to have the panels in hand and build up a model of the plane to be absolutely sure,” Giles said.

Tampering

“Despite the fact that evidence and traces have been damaged or lost, the Dutch Safety Board expects it will be able to gather sufficient relevant information from the crash site,” according to the release.

Examination of the dead should also be illuminating, with a fall from cruising altitude tending to strip away clothing, as happened in the Lockerbie case, though tampering with corpses could make it tougher to reach conclusions, he said.

Some bodies may also contain metal from the high-explosive fragmentation warhead which may have brought the plane down. The device suspected to have downed the jet is designed to detonate short of the target, maximizing destructive power by flinging thousands of pieces of shrapnel across a wide area.

The removal of the dead from the scene was probably necessary “for cosmetic reasons” in the heat of the Ukrainian summer, Giles said, though in the case of the Pan Am probe some bodies in first-class seats behind the cockpit were left in place for a week while a rigorous examination was carried out. — Bloomberg

aku la salah seorang anak muda yg suka holiday time raya. raya pertama duk umah,raya kedua dah zoom,packing beg,bertravel la aku. nak balik kg,memang aku dah duk kampung. malas nk duk umah,raya2 sedara mara dtg,sambil mengunyah biskut raya,jam tu la dok tanya bila nak kawen? mana kad kawen? tahun2 lepas,aku jawab jek Insya Allah,lepas raya ni,padahal aku xde sape pon...hahaha. sejak tu aku decide aku holiday jauh2 time raya with my older sis pon single jugak. thn lepas pegi melaka,thn sebelum ni pegi sabah. thn ni melaka again,booking hotel,raya ke2 dh sweet escape..
