Baby dies after being thrown to floor, Immigration officer arrested 2 APRIL 2016 @ 12:10 AM BY HANI SHAMIRA SHAHRUDIN
KUALA LUMPUR: An immigration officer was arrested over suspicion of throwing her 19-month-old baby girl to the floor at their house in Putra Perdana, Puchong on Thursday. A source close to the investigation said the woman, attached to the Immigration Department in Putrajaya was nabbed at the Sungai Buloh rest area at about 10pm today.
The woman had earlier claimed the child’s body and was travelling to her hometown in Alor Star, Kedah for the burial ceremony. It is learnt that the infant was taken to a clinic in Putra Perdana by the woman’s boyfriend when the victim lost consciousness at about 12 noon. “The medical attendant attempted to resuscitate the child and forwarded the case to Putrajaya hospital for further action.
At about 2pm, she was pronounced dead by the doctor at Putrajaya hospital,” he said. The body was taken to Serdang hospital for post-mortem, which revealed the cause of death was subdural hemorrhage and intra-abdominal injury due to blunt force trauma on the victim’s stomach. Following the case, police has also detained the woman’s boyfriend, aged 22 for questioning.
Initial investigations revealed the infant was crying when her mother was getting ready for work, causing her to lose her temper and throw the victim to the floor. It was also revealed that it was not the first time the woman had hit her children. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Tak perlu lah. Wartawan Metro lambat buat keja. Wartawan NST awal2 dah bagitau betina tu yang disyaki hempas anaknya. Jantan geli2 beliau tu yang coba selamatkan baby tu bawa gi klinik bagai sebenarnya. Rujuk kopipes berita NST di atas.
