Lamborghini driver loses car in ambush during supper run

PETALING JAYA, July 27 — A Lamborghini Gallardo was stolen after three men armed with parang ambushed the driver by staging an accident in Puchong early yesterday.

Serdang police chief ACP Megat Mohd Aminuddin Megat Alias said the victim was driving alone along Jalan Wawasan in Puchong when the “accident” occurred at about midnight.

He said the victim pulled over to inspect the damage following the collision with a BMW with three male occupants in it.

“One of the suspects spoke to the victim and claimed he did not have the money to pay for the damage,” he said.

The two other men alighted from the BMW with parang as the victim was taking photos of the two cars.

The victim ran off when he was threatened by the duo, before one of them drove off in his car.

The victim’s yellow Lamborghini is estimated to be worth at least RM800,000.

Following the incident, 31-year-old Alan Tee Woei Luen posted pictures of the vehicle on his Facebook page, seeking public assistance to locate the car.

Tee also said in the posting that the vehicle was not fitted with a global positioning system locator and that he had gone out to buy supper for his wife when the incident took place.
